Zero tolerance. Fine. What harm does a piece of paper with a drawing have on the student body? I'm usually on the side of the school district on these topics, but I'm at a loss right now.

My take--people who've lost all common sense should be allowed to run for school board...
No it is not dumb. Because of the NEA teachers and school administrators cannot be fired.

The NEA supports most of these lame brain policies.
Maybe you should research some of the NEA's actions and policies before you shoot YOUR mouth off.

They can't be fired over your politics is what you're really saying. Your job is to influence policy by petition. Go ahead and craft an alternative policy, quit whining. Kids can't grow up until adults do.

I wonder what the school's reaction would have been if he'd drawn a condom?

When I was at school, we would fill condoms with helium purloined from the chemistry labs. They would rise to the ceiling and then, after some of the helium had seeped out would float in mid-air.

Chemistry teacher used to act like they were not there

Nowadays, that would probably merit life without parole.

If he drew mohammed, he would not only be suspended, but would be charged with a hate crime.
