Concensus, anyone?

It's not like Koch's teanagger party; this is actually grass roots.

Is there a rule requiring one?

Maybe Mr. Soros plans to short the market all the way down.

The less organized they stay the harder it is for the establishment to co-opt them. keep it simple and easy.

Such observers are quick to dismiss OWS because it is fragmented and lacks a detailed list of demands. They argue that it is long on criticisms of the past and short on solutions for the future. They note that it is not structured to navigate the current political setup. Accordingly, they conclude that the impact will be transitory and inconsequential. While these reactions are understandable, this conclusion about OWS is likely to be proven wrong as it ignores a powerful reality: A peaceful drive for greater social justice can unify people from diverse cultural backgrounds, political affiliations, religions, and social classes…Through constructive collaboration, the movement’s energy and intensity can – and hopefully will — be combined with other influences to formulate forward-looking solutions for an America that must desperately regain its economic vigor, provide more jobs, and deliver better on its traditional commitment to social fairness and equal opportunities.”

the right wing won't give him credibility; he may be an accomplished investor at PIMCO, but his name isn't anglo enough.

Extremely good point.

The leadership is fluid, so the oligarchy's enforcers can't pin them down and destroy them. Pretty darn brilliant, I'd say.

Reminds me of the protests in Egypt. The people who took to the streets weren't all that organized. They really didn't have "leaders". As I recall, it was all done via word of mouth and cell phones!

Groups/people such as the union leaders, moveon.org, Charles Rangel, etc are at the park to save face and try to save their own relevance since they never "fought" for anything. They all capitulated a long time ago to serve their own narrow self interests.

What you have is a gross roots movement that is not going away until and unless the economy turns around. Give them work to do and they will just go away. Don't and watch out.
