Again...why isn't the press getting to the bottom of this??? Are we just going to sweep these accusations under the rug and pretend like it never happened? And what's up with the criminal case of the guy who was arrested?
If you want the press to get to the bottom of things, become a journalist and show them how it is done. Otherwise, a little internet searching does turn up information.

Iran seeking consular visit for terror suspect (http://www.theprovince.com/news/Iran+seeking+consular+visit+terror+suspect/5560636/story.html - broken link)
Normally there isn't much to report after an arrested terror suspect has lawyered up and before the trial.
Canadian news? Really? That just intensifies the question. Why has the American press dropped the story?
And there's a big difference between mere terrorism (i.e., Timothy McVeigh, the Unabomber) and state-sponsored terrorism. In the case of the former, we arrest the guy, try him, then fry him. In the case of the latter, we apparently commence military occupations with no definitive end in sight. Since we've accused Iran of state-sponsored terrorism, there's still much left to work out even though the alleged perpetrator of the act is in custody.
Just about a week ago, we were considering military action against Iran. We had strong evidence that the Iranians had committed an "unforgivable sin" against the people of the United States. Their "terror plot" was an affront to the sovereign integrity of the United States (even though the plot was allegedly designed to kill a Saudi diplomat). It was so bad in the eyes of many politicians that the plot alone (which never came to fruition) was called an "act of war."
Today the lead story on the front page of the New York Times online is "Atlanta Welcomes the Zombie Apocalypse." I don't see any articles in today's Times about the terror plot that had us considering military action against the Iranians only a week ago.
What gives?
Experts via left leaning blogs were able to get their opinions out into the public circumventing the corporate media.
It's a worderful aspect of the internet that they can't get away with spreading that crap anymore.
As it stands now the Obama Admin says they have some circumstantianal evidence the Qud forces knew about the "plot" but they can't release it or they have to kill us....LOL
How sad it is you can't even trust the US government anymore.

That's an important point. They did "drop" the story. In a healthy country, the press would get to the bottom of the story and try to determine if the story was true of false. Not here. Once the corporate media got a whiff that this story might not be believable they dropped it all together. If they make the goverment look bad, the government will cut them out of the "insider" loop. They will not get the scoops from unnamed sources and get invited to cocktail parties.

Very possible manufactured false flag (as far as the timing of the announcement) to deflect pressure off the POTUS and his DOJ for Solyndra as well as Fast & Furious. Were Operations "Tank sale to Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood" and Operation "Missle Walker" as Obama/NATO allowed rebels to take missels out of Libya and place them on the Gaza border aimed at Israel meant to speed up the process?
There seems to be a dance of warship positioning. I suspect the foundations have been lain for war with Iran in the not too distant future.
You cannot blame Obama for everything. Prove he had something to do with the Libyan missles. And quit smoking that stuff! lol lol Right wing extremism from you we can count on but not the conspiracy theories also. Save them for someone else! lol

Yep they are so pathetic. The blame him for EVERYTHING, then when he actually has been deceptive, and broken laws, it goes almost unnoticed because the public tunes it out as more partisan mud slinging.
The fact of the matter is the blood thirsty right wing loves war, and military strikes against foriegners. They are willing to look the other way when it comes to the rule of law.
There was a good article in the Sunday NYTimes on this American Iranian.
Turns out he's nothing but a 2 bit thief with 30 years of liens, unpaid bills, failed businesses and bankruptcies here in the US.
He's another "underwear bomber" who was only trying to make a buck and got caught.
IMHO the Fed was a bit quick to jump on their terror wagon looking for any excuse to act against Iran. Also Iran has asked for proof and to speak with him..so far the USG has not done anything.

believing our government is kinda like figuring out your wife/girlfriend has probably cheated on you but she begs and pleads innocence. you wanna believe her in your heat and try every pretzel logic possible, but your head doesn't buy a bit of it.
I guess the Algiers Accords during the Reagan administration has been thrown out the window.
Quote:
The Algiers Accords ... a pledge by the United States that "it is and from now on will be the policy of the United States not to intervene, directly or indirectly, politically or militarily, in Iran's internal affairs."
