Wall Street is sending their campaign donations to Republicans. Mitt Romney already has gotten over a million from Goldman Sachs employees. Obama has received $46,000. The numbers speak for themselves.
Democratic Party, Helped by Wall Street, Outraises Republicans
As for as the OP--trying to blame one pervert on a political party is stupid, and you know it. If that were the case, every republican rep chasing after interns or hooking up in bathrooms should be the poster boy for the party. Is that fair? No. Neither is this.
As for the rest of it--I'm curious to see where OWS is going to go, and it all depends on the leadership that emerges. Just like the tea party, they have some major crack pots on the fringes--it's no different. If they can organize themselves with a clear message and credible leadership, I think it's going to make a huge impact on the direction we take as a country over the next couple of years. If they don't, then it may fall into chaos. Regardless, the message about corruption of the system is one that rings true with a huge segment of the population, and I think that message is going to stick around.
