Well if a non smoker that chews spits on a smoker is that wrong? Well thats how it feels for a non-smoker to have to put up with a smokers habit.
Your smoke invades our space, taints the smell of our clothes, and puts our health at risk. So is it wrong to not want to deal with a smokers habit?
I absolutely believe smokers are treated unfairly. Even though being exposed to someone who is under the weather is possibly quite dangerous especially to the elderly and infants we don't have all sorts of rules that prohibit where you can go when you are sick.
Then there is obesity and the associated problems like heart disease and type 2 diabetes, but you don't see warning signs on potato chips, burgers, and ice cream.
Yep. I could see if people wanted to ban smoking in public areas etc. I could at least understand that. But banning smoking on private property, bars for example, that's complete tyrannical BS.
If smokers were considerate enough to voluntarily wear one of these or, if not considerate, mandated to by our benevolent Big Brother Nanny State , then I'd have no problem whatsoever with them indulging in their suicidal filthy habit in public:

On the other hand it's nice being able to go out to bars and concerts and not have my eyes stinging and watering within 30 minutes. I do disagree heavily with banning all flavored tobacco except menthol (at the behest of Phillip-Morris and their phalanx of lobbyists). Now that's some BS. And state level bans on hookah bars. People have the right to gather in a private establishment for the explicit purpose of smoking.

Yeah it sure is "nice" to control other people and what they do on their own property ain't it.

Well that's what I'm talking about, private property.
I think smoking is maligned unfairly. It's the current evil of society. I wish people wouldn't be so hypocritical about cigarette smoke & their own health.
What how can you say that. Second hand smoke is responsible for a lot of people getting cancer lung cancer.
Why is it that some smokers, not all, are so irresponsible with their habit. Do they really have to puff puff puff the smoke in my direction. I am alergic to cigarette smoke.
And one day, i saw a young guy smoking that let out his car window a still burning ciagrette. Smart that was not.
Too many innocent people because of second hand smoke, their lifes have been upturned. I feel as a human, we have a right to care about our own health, no one else will.
Maybe if smokers would have been considerate from day one things would be different. I feel the same way about drinking and drving, don't.

There's also the enormous health care costs involved with smoking most do not understand unless they see it first-hand. Smoking is not a completely selfless act; I'm not saying to make it illegal, but don't give me the crybaby BS about "smokers rights" when you still have 400,000 people dying in the U.S. every year from it and completely ignore the repercussions of that fact.
No, smokers put the health of others around them at risk.
