Oh, gee, I thought it was because Obama was following Bush's plans made back in 2008!

We have a veritable cafeteria of excuses not to be happy about the withdrawal of our troops from Iraq. Wonder why?

And another from KUchief:

Good now he can put them on our border with Mexico and Canada and clean up that mess.
Wait...didn't he promise to do this within the first few months in office if he were elected president as well as close GITMO & get out of Afghanistan?

3 years later we're finally seeing some action from this man.

A little late to the party are we?

At least he could have been fashionably late.

It's a terrible plan, and not a promice kept. It probably won't happen because the military is against his folly.
It's all about getting re-elected, he could care less of the damage it will cause..
...another nail in the pr!ck's coffin...

Reality is over-rated.

What is happening is Obama the great communicator can't work out a deal to give immunity to troops we WANT to leave in country so we're being told to leave based on the '08 agreement with Iraq. Now that is what's going on now. Don't be surprised when 5-10K remain when a deal is worked out here soon. YOu folks continue your "Hail Obama" march though. Its quite entertaining. Reality never does enter your minds.

It's because the US and Iraq couldn't come to an agreement to keep troops in Iraq, not because we are broke. Probably more because Iraq is broke and couldn't pay us to be there.

I don't know about coming home...maybe just getting a brief reprieve before Obama's next illegal war.
