President Obama plans to announce Friday that all U.S. forces will be withdrawn from Iraq by the end of 2011, a senior administration official told Fox News.
The president is to speak at about 12:45 p.m. EDT after completing a secure video conference with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki.

Good now he can put them on our border with Mexico and Canada and clean up that mess.

Glad to hear it, and it's about time!

Obama's announcement would close off the possibility of maintaining a U.S. military presence in Iraq beyond a Dec. 31 withdrawal deadline set in 2008.
Its interesting that in spite of all the "hope and change" talk, Obama followed through with the Bush policy, with no changes.

I guess you think that keeping that promise over 2 years after the promise said he would do it will work for something other than to win some votes from people who didn't hear when he said he would bring the troops out.

Is there a chance that this promise will lead to more interference in Iraq by the Iranians?

It only took him three years.
Nothing like doing this a year before the next election; quite convenient to one's campaign.

Had he done it immediately, then I'd have given him credit.
Now? Not so much. Desperate measures from a desperate man.

Has he done it immediately, you would have shrieked "Cut and Run!"

You neocon supporters are so predictable
