Do you think that borrowing IOUs, at usury, will solve all YOUR problems?

Okay, so what commodity do you want it tied to? The easier gathered the better, right?

How about we go back to Lincoln greenbacks? Problem solved. I don't believe in a currency backed solely by gold

Don't take this the wrong way, but do you really want congress tied directly to the value of the dollar while the campaign for all things political? (I think the left might have me mostly ignored on here).

I know it sounds crazy, but there's not enough gold in the world to support our economy, for one. I'm not sure there is even enough silver for our economy, we'd have to do another thing. Maybe monetize copper, bronze, diamonds as well?

Only way I can see this working is to have a constitutional amendment that would limit the printing of Greenbacks to, let's say 2% a year maximum, unless there was a Congressional declaration of war. That would definitely work then, since the Treasury would be constitutionally forbidden printing more money than what is allowed.

No cause it has the worst performance as a monetary system throughout history. Its just one side of the false central banker box with the other being debt money, both of which are false choices. Ron Paul's achilles heel is the gold standard nonsense.
