It's a deadly serious, humorless subject I know, but sometimes when I see the blatant insincerity, the uptight political correctness(''he said gay, hang him!""), and just the general stupidity of politics, I don't know, it sometimes resembles a comedy show to me.

I admit that I do sometimes. I'd probably find it funnier if the stakes weren't so high for our country. But that said, we must be the most entertaining superpower in history. The British Empire was never remotely this funny and rediculous.

In the current politics there is a major divide. It's become kosher to ignore people, silence dissent, demonize, demagogue and dismiss facts.

But this is the future of the planet with integration. We won't be going back to homogenous societies that didn't have to think about the politics of racial, ethnic and cultural divides unless there is a major catastrophe.

Well, that's true enough. I guess we are somewhat entertaining. Probably not to the people we've killed, though.

It would be funny if we weren't so screwed.

Default Is it just me, or do you find current politics to be hilarious?

It is funny to a certain point but then it's just shameful. The back and forth bickering, accusations and name calling between the parties is school yard level.

I'd classify it as more of a tragic comedy.

I do feel like Alice in Wonderland, sometimes; trying to find answers while the people in control dance around in circles, singing nonsense.

Politics today remind me of HS debates except for one thing, the HS debates made sense.

I was lmao during the most recent GOP debate when Ronaldus Magnus was criticized. The stunned deer in the headlights look on all of the candidates except Ron Paul was priceless.
