Ye gods! Both Perry and Rubio...do any of the GOP candidates know where they were born? And you haven't seen any on the left go to ridiculous lengths to demand that they provide a valid, long form birth certificate, either. We're too focused on job creation and the economy.

Birtherism originated in Hillary 08 campaign. Last time I checked, she is on the left. Apparently she lost her focus for a second.

nor have we seen any of the birthers demanding a LFBC from perry, rubio, cain, romney........ ( i do believe bachmann showed her birth certificate at one point but she didn't make it available to orly taitz's crack team of forensic investigators ).

we went over this in the other thread. your link says nothing about the clinton campaign. yes, some of the early ( but not all ) birthers were hillary supporters. most notably phil berg. but they had no direct connection to the hillary campaign.

Why should they? Is there any doubt whatsoever that either of the candidates were born in the USA to American Citizens? No matter how it's spun, this wasn't entirely clear in BO's case. Hindsight 20/20 doesn't work here. Too many ties to foreign lands means show us the certificate, which he begrudgingly did 2 years later. Do the current crop of candidates suffer from the same predicament?

......and here lies the problem for the GOP. keeping the birthers appeased without alienating independents and moderates.
