Much ado about not much. Today was "Crazy Hat" or "Twin" day at my school. Yesterday was "Nerd" day, tomorrow is "Heroes or Villains" day. Thursday is "Class Spirit" day (dress in your class shirt/colors).

We used to have the Switch-A-Roo day until the girls started to complain that the gay boys looked better than they did on regular days.

All this is tied into Homecoming Week, as at the school in the article.

Damn, people are sensitive and see things and problems where there are none.

I AM ANGRY I AM ANGRY IT DOESN'T MATTER THAT I AM ADDING A CONTEXT TO SOMETHING THAT ISN'T THERE BECAUSE I AM ANGRY!!! = most of the posts in this thread

Did none of you have Powderpuff Football? Hell - we had "Switch-a-Roo" Day (called it something different but can't remember what) in elementary school the same year I had a CROSS burned on my lawn in the early 90s. In the 2000s in my high school, we had Powderpuff Football and an "opposite day" where people dressed as the opposite gender as part of spirit week. It was a fundraiser for the marching band. The marching band where I was forced to pray an overtly Protestant prayer before home games (was not allowed to leave the room or lead the prayer despite being Jewish).

Trust me - there was no gay overtones in the deep South in my elementary school. Or in my parents' high school in the 1970s when they had similar things for spirit week.

Do you people really hunt for THE GAY everywhere you look?

Hardly. I'd say fewer than half of my high school's students participated in such school spirit activities. The athletes, cheerleaders, school government types, they were likely to do it. The band members, the "cool" and cynical counter-culture types, and nerds likely would not.

Comical cross-dressing (as opposed to cross-dressing due to reasons of sexual identity) has been a feature of American entertainment for ages without people raising a stink. Oh, pity all those kids from the 1940's - on who were corrupted by Bugs Bunny, Yosemite Sam, and Elmer Fudd dressing like women!

Does this mean I shouldn't go to my Halloween party as Lady Gaga? Maybe Madonna would be a better choice?
I thought Lady GaGa was going as Madonna?

Yes they do, because they think being gay is like the most evil thing on the planet. Satan convinces people to choose to be gay so they can promote switch clothing days on unsuspecting children and corrupt them.

It's the greatest deception in all of human history!

Oh for god's sake, boys dressing as girls as a school activity is as old as... well schools!

Harvard's Hasty Puddying has been doing it since 1795!
