I don't think pointing out one way to save money means they are incapable of thinking of other ways to save money too. In other words "there must be other ways to save money" doesn't really seem like a reason to outright dismiss something that does save money, it should be evaluated by itself a potential money saver.

And some might argue that maintaining a currency format that needs constant replacing at great expense is stupid shi*t

We've tried it twice in my lifetime, and neither time did it work. The Clinton admin spent $40 million on an ad campaign to try to get people to use the car-wash-token dollar. The ads were just terrible, with depictions of the Founding Fathers using surfer-speak. Whatever money they might have saved by not having to replace worn paper money was eaten up by the $40 million they blew on advertising.

No point. Most money will be electronic soon anyway. I almost never use cash anymore. We will go from using worthless paper to using completely abstract numbers in a computer. Talk about a faith-based fiat currency system!

When we lived in Germany, prior to the EU, we used 1 and 5 mark coins. Once you got used to it, it did seem better. However, psychologically, once they were coins it seemed to trivialize their value. At the time the 1 mark coin was worth about 75 cents and the 5 mark coin about $3.75 but it just seemed like so much less because it was coins, so less thought went into spending it. Think about it, for most people, to spend a coin you just reach into your pocket, but to spend bills you have to go through the act of pulling out a wallet and looking through it.

No. Like another poster above, I wind up with a pile of change at the end of a day usually.

Oh please no. I hate carrying around coins. Too heavy on the pocket. Just leave it alone already and work to get our fiscal house in order instead.

Our fiscal house will never be in order so long as it is controlled by the banks. Banks control the money flow, and they want us to be in as much debt as possible.
