....because deep down, in her heart of hearts where there's no such thing as being a Liberal or Conservative, she knows that what she's doing is not right. Otherwise, it would be like looking at any other picture and wouldnt' have any effect. But it does have an effect. That's why she doesn't want to see it.
And that's why there's so much resistance to laws requiring an ultrasound before having an abortion. Out of sight, out of mind is the name of the game. Not seeing the fetus would help her to ignore the consequences.
I know it. You know it. We all know it. But for some reason, every other excuse in the book is pulled out by those who have a problem with it.
True. They want to DENY the "thing" they're about to rip to shreds is a living, breathing human being.
Why don't you want to look? Feel a little remorseful about this to begin with?
So do you often go down to the local hospital and watch operations? How about painful and invasive medical procedures where the patient is not under general anesthesia? And do you attend autopsies, as simply an interested citizen observer?
I guess these things are "wrong" and must be stopped by any means possible, right?
Once you have, can you tell us if a fetus in the first trimester is viable?
As with every choice we make the government has to regulate that choice.
You can choose to travel 100mph down a highway that has a speed limit of only 60 mph. Its also the government's choice to have police officers stop you and issue a speeding ticket as a means to limit your choice to speed and keep to the rules of the road.
Why would viability have ANY bearing on a woman's body and her right to choose?
So it cannot be murdered...but the law allows a person to be charged with murder.
Pretty schizophrenic don't you think?
Not on my part.
I don't think there should be a murder charge unless the fetus is viable.
