Statistics? Proof? Or is this just more the tired "welfare queen" canard.

Read this: http://www.strength.org/pdfs/2011-ch...nger-facts.pdf

Let's eliminate welfare cheats (You conservatives seem to know all of them...They should be easy to find) and concentrate our social services on the millions who need them.

Do you disagree with those? When the police come, do you whine that you should be paying individually for the service?

If you don't believe in socialism to some degree GTF off the roads that I paid for.
Paid for by local and state property taxes.

So you think healthcare is affordable because the overwhelming majority of Americans won't get Colon Cancer. Most Americans will have either cancer or a heart attack in their life time. The majority will face a catastrophic illness in their family.

What do you propose we do? Your cavalier attitude seems a little shortsited to me.

"Canard" breaks Godwin's Law.

Nobody on government aid in this country is entitled to more.

Everyone dies of something. Most people are covered by insurance.

Why do you want me to accept government health care so you can have free cancer care?

I want 100% to pay an equal share of taxes on all that...

None of this "progressive" crap where people receive all of those "socialized" services AND get PAID by the Big Government TOO!!!

I don't need the police. They have become income collectors for the state and clean up after the criminals do their deed.

All those entities could be privatized and provide a much better service at a cheaper cost.

I paid for those roads too. Nobody asked me if I wanted to. Don't drive slow in the left lane or you'll hear a horn.

Liberals want everything free.
I've never heard anything more true.

Liberals weren't born that way ... they were indoctrinated early with a Marxist POV by those they believe have wisdom. I doubt if most American realize how widespread it really is.

Nikita Krusteuv banged his shoe on a table at the UN in the 1950s and sceamed "we will bury you!" Turns out he wasn't referring to bombs -- we would be destroyed from within.

Academia has been littered with communists for decades. Hollywood and the media were not far behind in adopting this poisonous, anti-America mindset.
Anyone interested in peeling back the many layers of brainwashing that have spawned the current batch of mindless robots stinking up our city streets should start with the influence of those institutions. It's not pretty.

I don't. You're welcome to buy insurance on the open market. You love the insurance companies stick with them. (Although I do meet few health insurance company sycophants).

However, I do want past cancer patients like myself to continue to have access to insurance. Since I own my own business and have been deemed "uninsurable" I don't have access to the fine system of health insurance that you believe so strongly in.

And by the way, I'm doing well. Thanks for your concern. (Although you seem a lot more concerned about having to pay $.0005 of my bill than my health. Thanks neighbor! I hope you never get sick!)

What bothers me is the sense that only the government should take on the responsibility to take care of me. The thought makes me gag. Do they think that I am a baby?

One of my sons is married and has 4 children. A couple of years ago, he made very little money because he was going to school. When he filed his tax return, the government automatically gave him back 9200 dollars more than what he put in. Thats right. Nine Thousand Two Hundred dollars! They did not even ask if he needed it.

So now, I tell my married kids to take as much government assistance as they will give. It makes me feel like my money is at least partially staying within my family. I go out of my way to pay very little tax's because it feels irresponsible to give good money to an irresponsible organization. This is sacred money. Some people are hurting so that the government can throw their money down the toilet.

When I was in mexico on vacation, I bought things from poor people and felt good about it because I knew that it was being used to feed peoples families.

If the government would give the money to help get the truely needy back on their feet, I would support it. But I have no desire to give all my money away so that some beaurocrat can feel self actualized.
