There are no "palastinians". They are arabs. If there is no country named "Palistine" then there can't be any people. Once a real country is created, that may change, but for now Herman Cain is 100% correct.

I guess you're too lazy to read what he said exactly.
Or too ignorant to know you can be a "people" without having your own country?
"The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct Palestinian people to oppose Zionism."
The key word is "People". Lets get the dictionary out for you Gramps....l. peo·ples A body of persons sharing a common religion, culture, language, or inherited condition of life.
Here you go...the Title of the thread again for you gramps.
Herman Cain Denies That Palestinian People Exist
Amazing! YOUR INTELLECT. How did you put it?.....oh yea!....."How embarrassing for you!"
It's sad that you must resort to childish name-calling when someone disagrees with your world view.
Let's break it down by your definition.
Do Palestinians share a unique religion? No, they are but a small drop in the large ocean that is Islam. The same can be said for the Arabic language they share with hundreds of millions of others.
Do they share a unique culture? Again no, their culture is no different than Jordanian and some slices of Lebanese and Syrian.
Inherited condition of life... this might be the closest they come to being defined as a people by padcrasher. But if all that defines a people is their state of homelessness, perhaps they really are not that unique at all. When you think about who these people are, they are just a small percentage of Arabs, a small percentage of Muslims, who happened to live in a small area of land that wasn't theirs to begin with and refused to share it. The only reason they are called Palestinians is because that is the name the Romans gave the area 2000 years ago when there was no such thing as an Arab with 1000 miles. I think Herman Cain was right on this one.
Another lame attempt to bash Cain, he is merely restating a position used by rabid Zionists. Palestine was an Ottoman province with all kinds of people immigrating there. The Zionists insist since there was never a Palestine state there, there are no Palestinians.
Some say the term was the creation of some Arab nationalists. Others point out the Brits never referred to the Arabs as Palestinians and the name was not used by Arabs themselves until after the creation of Israel.
Maybe if you knew something about the actual conflict you could look beyond your reflexive dislike for Cain and get to the real issues. If you want to disagree on these points fine but to make it sound like Cain just made this up and is coming from outer space on this is disingenuous but that's your calling card I guess around here.

At the time of Israel's founding 25% of Arabs were Christian.
Cain is just repeating the right-wing Israeli official position- that there is no such thing as "Palistine", or Palistinans.
The founders of modern Israel had a slogan: "A land without a people, for a People without a land". It was a BIG FAT LIE, of course, but it was a lie that suited everyone's purpose in 1947. The world was looking for a place to send its surviving Jews, and the Jews had at least a biblical and historic connection to Palistine.
This ignores the inconvenient truth, that there were, in fact, close to one million people living in Palistine when the Zionist Movement began in the late 19th Century. Most were Muslim, but there were also some Arabic Jews. The founding of modern Israel displaced about 750,000 of these "non-existant" Palistinians. It seemed at the time to be a solution to the world's "Jewish problem", but of course, there has been nothing but fighting there ever since.
I don't know how much history Cain has actually read or what he really believes. It sounds to me like he is just parroting the Christian/ Zionist party line here.
Herman Cain is doing what every presidential or congressional candidate does, give unbridled support for Israel and the Jews. If they don't, groups such as the ADL, AIPAC and other Zionist organizations of Jewish-Americans will destroy their career.
Anyone who wants to be elected in America has to bow down to the Zionist Jews.
