Glenn Beck dares to step outside the box and discuss what is really important - he doesn't have to prostitute himself to political correctness like the rest of the hacks.
The ladies of the view even recognize that much.
The paid-to-troll is obsessed with Beck, Palin, etc... . Too bad he cannot start threads about how wonderful Obama's policies have been for peace, the economy, unemployment, poverty, etc... .
Glenn Beck is the Michael Moore of the right wing.
Anyone who pays attention to anything they talk about anymore are crazy. Sure, they may have started somewhat level headed, but to please their egos and to fill their pockets they began to get crazier and crazier, propogating more and more lies, to try and stay relevant.
Its like sugar for the brain. It makes you feel good because its what you want to hear.
Its sad, really.......
You're comparing apples to oranges. Michael Moore is a lightning rod for rightwing criticism because his commentary eviscerates rightwing hysteria and bigotry. However, anyone who watches his documentaries knows that underneath the sarcasm and humor is truth, a truth that conservatives would never, ever, under any circumstance acknowledge.
Beck, on the other hand, sees communists, fascists, and socialists lurking behind every bush and plotting to "destroy capitalism", which is not only absurd, it is the exact opposite of what is happening in this country, which is capitalism run amok.
You see, the income levels of the richest are rising into the stratosphere while the rest of the country continues its downward spiral, and Beck equates this to socialism?
It's sad there are people so uninformed as to take anything he says seriously, but it is a sad commentary on the intellect in this country. Of course, I do believe only the most clueless listen to this man and his appeal is, and never has been, to a majority of Americans, no more so than Rush Limbaugh, another infamous demagogue in the same vein.
Michael Moore has never spun fantasy as part of his belief structure, and share little in common with Beck, other than the revulsion both of their detractors feel for them. Moore grew up in Flint Michigan and became well known for his first documentary "Roger and Me" which was an attempt to interview the CEO of General Motors and discuss the economic impact of his decisions. It remains his finest work, in my opinion.
