I'm in natural language and data mining, more into research and not a tech junkie. I'm only using 11.04.01 here and in the lab (when I cat the issue file). Works just fine for me.

That would require effort, something obviously lacking with people who enjoy sitting in a city park 24/7.

Yep. Maybe they just enjoy products that are easier to use and configure, architected and envisioned by wealthy VPs and product managers and approved by Jobs.

I guess, when you try to categorize and pigeon-hole everyone, you are bound to find exceptions. Secretly gay Republicans, Strong Democratic CEO'S, Vegetarians who wear leather, etc...

I think the better policy is not to expect to draw a full personality profile on someone based on their participation in a single event, or their membership in a single organization.

I subscribe to and read the Wall Street Journal and belong to the ACLU. I used Mac, PC and Linux. What does that make me in your little world?

The majority of pictures featuring 99%ers have them using iPhones and not a Linux laptop.

If you support the 99%ers and are actually out there yelling for the end of corporate profits (not Democrat run Wall St. orgs. like MF Global I mean), then using an iPhone rather than a freeware OS is hypocritical in the extreme.

Yes, but there is a small hole in your theory.

The 99% aren't screaming for the end of corporate profits. Their message (while muddled) seems to be one espousing fairness, opportunity, and affordability. Equity is not the enemy of corporate profits.

I know its sport to falsely attribute ridiculous, extremist positions to the opposite side of the political spectrum-- which kind of proves my original point-- When you try to pigeonhole someone based on a single element, you are often going to end up looking foolish.

Would it help you to see that point if I pointed out some inconsistencies and hypocrisies of the Tea Party?

What government system enforces egalitarianism effectively?

Countries that don't house companies at the forefront of technology.
