Nothing from where I'm standing.
What are you talking about?

If we raise tariffs on imports, other countries will raise them on ours. And so on. That is called a trade war.

I certainly know the arguments agains such as higher prices at Walmart, but it would also mean more jobs. Paying lower prices is little consolation when you don't have a job.

We haven't quit. We still have lots of import tariffs.

And most people I know don't want to pay higher prices anywhere.. not just at Walmart.

So you like paying higher prices for your tires and all other products that are delivered using vehicles with tires?

Without a job I can't buy any tires irrespective of how much they cost. The more exports the more jobs here in the U.S., the imports the less jobs in the U.S. That is as simple as it gets. Maybe a graph would be more helpful. The higher the graph goes the less probability that you will have a job. Is that clear enough.

Your post is totally false.

If you travel around the world you would see a lot of American products in use everywhere.

We export more than a Trillion dollars of goods every year including billions in automobiles.

Do a little research.

Which treaties were those?

Tariffs don't increase our trade balance. They just irritate trade partners and encourage them to put trade tariffs on our products. So then you have no increase in exports.

And the trade balance has nothing to do with our jobs and unemployment. If we increase exports and imports the same amount, we will have more employment but the trade balance will not change.

Is that clear enough.

The graphs support my post. We export trillions of dollars in goods. The post I responded to said we export very little, which is totally wrong.

Thank you for posting graphs that support my facts.
