because they are too lazy to walk? Today was the first time in my life Ive ever gone to Walmart, usually I go to target. It was disgusting to say the least. Not only did I see two hippos riding electric carts because they were too lazy to walk, I saw a child walking with his parents with no shoes on and a soiled diaper barely clinging on to him. So anyway, I get home and researched the Walton family briefly, the folks that started Walmart, and it turns out they were staunch Republicans and large Republican campaign contributers. Perhaps no other company has done more to hurt communities and small business in this nation than Walmart! just remember where it got its roots from!
So disabled people disgust you? This thread is a hate based and I find your post disgusting.

You are not capable of critical thought and no where did I ever say disabled people disgust me. Fat, obese people who cant control their eating habits disgust me because I pay much more than i should for insurance coverage ultimately because of them!

I still want to know when being 70+ years old became a handicap. Because I haven't seen anyone in a wheelchair get out of a car in a handicap parking space in years. Always lazy geezers.
I always laugh to myself, because these people will die first. The smart ones walk from their cars, because they know it keeps them healthy, and keeps them alive.
...and the fat pigs will experience the same thing.
Personally I don't GAF. I shop at WM all the time and I see every day people nicely dressed and people in ripped clotes with an EBT card at the register. I go there for convenience and pricing.
Yup, I see the same cross section of folks I see at any big box store including Target, the Grocery store, Home Depot, whatever.
Really though... who cares? Don't like Wal-Mart? Don't like the people who shop at your local Wal-Mart? Don't shop there... or move to a nicer zip code.
fwiw, I'm 350+ and can walk for hours. Not every fat person is a sickly, smelly, mess incapable of being a productive member of society.

No whats sad is people starving to death in the 3rd world, and childrens stomachs expanding painfully from having nothing to eat. Contrast that with the fattest demographic in this country being the poorest and Im supposed to feel bad for them? What's sad is your inability to keep a proper perspective.

Ignorance this^^^...not to mention mean spirited.
My 75 year old mother has had a ruptured brain anuerysm, followed by kidney failure and after 4 years on dialysis she got a transplant. During the time of her treatments she had to take Prednisone which made her blow up like a balloon.
It made her feel bad enough about herself without thinking that others were passing judgement on her.
NONE of these issues were anything she had any control over (immune disorder).
If you saw her today get out of her car- you would think- what does that skinny little old lady need a parking pass for?
However- she gets tired walking more than a few hundred feet. She has balance issues. It is not SAFE for her to walk around a large store.
And yes- she shops at Walmart. Because at 75 she is watching every penny and trying to make her savings and pension last as long as possible.
But I am sure you will never get old or sick...and will have enough money to only shop at the finest stores for the rest of your life.

Just because a 70+ person (or of any younger age) can walk doesn't mean they don't have handicap that prevents them from walking a long distance and/or of walking without a lot of pain. Lots of heart, lung and joint ailments would fall into that category. A doctor has to certify that you qualify as per the laws. One of the rules is you qualify if you can't walk more than 200 feet without having to stop and rest. See my link to an application for a disabled parking permit to see other qualifying rules. You don't have to be wheelchair bound to get them.

Yup. My mom who is 71 () has Wegener's Granulomatosis (http://www.bing.com/health/article/mayo-MADS00833/Wegener%27s-granulomatosis?q=wegener+granulomatosis - broken link), in remission. However, it has damaged her lungs to the degree that she cannot walk any distance without stopping to rest. Forget 200 feet, she can't walk that far. Add that to her damaged spine due to osteoporosis - if she couldn't get a handicapped placard, nobody could.
My sister has aggressive rheumatoid arthritis, and also has a handicapped placard. Many days, you wouldn't know she had a problem, and she only uses the placard on days she needs it. But she looks young and healthy, so I expect to hear that someone criticized her for using it.
