OAKLAND -- Occupy demonstrators turned their ire on big banks and corporations Wednesday by marching, blocking traffic and chanting -- and in some cases, defacing ATMs and pounding on doors at Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Chase and Citibank branches around downtown.
And at Whole Foods at 27th and Bay streets, a splinter group threw paintballs, tore up a fence and broke a window before the larger crowd turned on them and forced them to stop.

A strike encouraged and supported by democrat officials, including the mayor.

Well, now they will have to live with the consequences of ginning up violence and lawlessness.

what's the point again of harrasing employees who are making very low wages in an unforgiving job doing thankless work?

I can get being frustrated with their employer - but these people are just waking up every morning, putting on their clothes like you and scrapping away to make whatever living they can

It's not a strike, it's a "day off from work".

If you own property there, you're screwed!

Wasn't that the point of OWS all along?
