We all know the trigger will be pulled and the 1.2 trillion in spending cuts will destroy the economy. Question is, who will be responsible?

None of the biased poll!

The American people are at fault.

2010 was the brakes and got a hand on the gear shifter and knocked it out of high gear.

Hopefully 2012 the people will be getting a hold of the gear shift, with both hands and throw it in reverse!

?????????

So your solution is to keep spending, similar to Greece, until insolvency and financial chaos erupts? I am always amazed at liberal "solutions". Stick your head in the sand and hope for the best. Now that is leadership.

PS- It is hilarious that you could not resist the "blame Bush" option. Someone needs to give you a calender and tell you it is Nov 2011 and Obama has been president for nearly three years. I guess you would be saying, if Obama was re-elected, that it was not his fault into the eighth year of his presidency. Using liberal "logic", perhaps it is Grover Cleveland's fault, as it most certainly cannot be Obama's.

Keep in mind that this how Canada got its financial house in order 15 years ago- spending cuts. However, the average liberal would prefer to follow the path of Greece, rather than Canada and choose exactly the wrong "solution".

Being non partisan I have to say this thread and poll is the most childish and non intellectual that I have read on CD, and that is saying a lot. The poll is a total joke since none of the choices are part of the super committee. If I was in charge of placing this thread in it's proper CD forum it would have to be listed under "DUH " or " Dee D Dee ", meaning a whole new forum what have to be created for this non sense

How can $1.2T in spending cuts over ten years hurt the economy when $1T in new spending in one year didn't do squat?

We all know that GWB is responsible for all of Obama's failures.

Obama, Harry Reid, John Boehner.

Ultimately it has been Harry Reid's Democrat controlled Senate's failure to accept spending cuts which has brought us to this point. The Progressives want to render our Congress and thus citizen representation null and void so the student dictator can rule with the glove off his fist of tyranny.
