Some of them are just hoodlums looking for an excuse to go off on anything in their paths. I would agree that, for the time being, this is not a mainstream movement. It's more like a fringe movement on the left.

What should worry you is how this could conceivably turn into a mainstream movement, and what the streets would look like if it did. If right wing lobbyists keep taking care of corporate America at the expense of ordinary Americans, this latte-drinking hipster sh*t-in-the-britches movement will turn into an unstoppable mass of anger.

Deep water ports

Seems to me that liberals only care about "civility" when it suits their political agenda. If this were the Tea Party, the media would be running stories 24/7 and Oblama would have issued a statement condemning the violence.

I am so sick of the hypocrisy and double standards of America's liberals.
All that went down the memory hole. Reality is most malleable to the Left.

I think it's great.

Occupy Oakland as well as all of the "Occupiers" should shut down all of the ports, on all coasts, for at least the next month.

When WalMart's shelves are standing empty on Black Friday, all of those people screaming about not having jobs and demanding that Wall Street give up all of their profits and share their wealth, will suddenly discover that they have not only put the last employers out of business, gotten rid of the last employees, but that there is nothing left in America to buy because America buys all of her products from China and Indonesia. That's wonderful! Impoverish everyone in one fell swoop! Go for it! Then maybe they'll truly realize what this country has become... Merry Christmas!! Of course it will still take the Occupiers about 10 years or so to understand the Keynesian economics that has gotten this country into this state... if they live that long.

As for the "empty shipping containers" - that's what America sends back overseas - thousands of them per ship.

Well if they shut down all imports from China at the ports, that would be a good thing.
