These protestors don't seem to put as much time into researching their political candidates as they do in blaming corporations for all their problems. Our government enables the corporations, through their legislation, to get away with the bailouts and theft through devaluation of our dollar.
I take it you've never been to an Occupy event. While I don't know what the protestors wearing Fawkes masks think there is considerable opposition to corporate welfare and the Fed in the Occupy movement (of course the Fed is a private corporation...) not to mention considerable opposition to Obama. Ron Paul's more popular than Obama is with the Occupy crowd.

As for Fawkes: while it's difficult to know what someone from that era would think of current politics in a country that did not exist at the time that person lived, he'd probably back Rick Santorum over other presidential candidates right now - given that Santorum is a member of Opus Dei....

Well, Nancie Pelosi did think she was Queen so I can understand your confusion.

Honest people with good intentions don't feel compelled to hide their faces behind masks and scarves in order to speak out. Honest people with good intentions do not use intimidation as a weapon in order to get their way. The folks with Anonymous and many with the OWS crowds in many cities are doing just that.

In this age, I don't believe the protestors feel safe if they're identifiable. We, grand hypocrites that we are, gladly support uprisings in the middle east and other places, but then we have Oakland's police turning a peaceful gathering of people exercising their constitutional rights into a violent showdown.

Now, Anonymous imo, doesn't have good intentions. Their wrongs do not make things right. There has to be another way for them, but I'm thinking we may be at a point in time where some people have given up trying to work within the system.

I agree with you about Anonymous and how their actions could easily hurt innocent people.

I, and others on the board, have pondered the possibility of a new age of political violence for a long time. It seems to finally be coming. We will most likely see far worse ahead. I fear we're on the path that Venezuela was on 20 years ago.

I remember there used to be Guy Fawkes Social Dances once a year where the women invited the men. There would be photos of dressed up, masked people in the Social Events sections of the local newspaper. I think it was Guy Fawkes? What would that have to do with this??? Anybody have a guess?

We called it Sadie Hawkins dance. Guy Fawkes was entirely different.

Well, I didn't believe that the "Arab Spring" was any more grass roots as the OWS. Both are funded and agitated by the same Marxist/Communist organizations. All Obama's radical friends.
