Fascism... a belief system in private enterprise, not elected governance. No need for hair splitting if you get that point.
LOL, private enterprise controlled by the State. But we've been down this road before in our previous discussions with the gut-busting comedic notion that fascism is somehow "conservative". LOL

And so did the USA, since day 1.
Voluntary socialism. Once again, big difference. Can't help you if you think otherwise.
Germany, for one, calls itself a "Social Market Economy." They have actually understood that both socialist and capitalist policies are needed to successfully run a country. Both approaches have value and it certainly seems as though taking the best of each might result in a pretty decent way of life.
I am unsure about why socialism and progressive liberalism is spoken of as linked. It is about like asking "In which country has communism/capitalism ever worked?"
We have been a capitalist nation for over 200 years, and we were a bunch of capitalists hundreds of years before that too. The more socialism and liberal progressiveness this country adopts, the worse off we become.
When did the US government own the means of production?
The argument was, government control over private enterprise.

What was that land giveaway about? Government itself is a socialistic instrument (communism, OTOH, prefers power in the hands of the masses, not a governing body).
Escalation with Solyndra and GM. Definitely agree with you there.
Pathetic that you can only name two, and right along the lines a partisan hack would tread.
"There is looming up a new and dark power... the enterprises of the country are aggregating vast corporate combinations of unexampled capital, boldly marching, not for economical conquests only, but for political power" -Edward G Ryan, 1873

Well, when that it does translate, you let me know...mmmkay?
Voluntary, yes agreed.
Yeah, I'm sure you would take the economic policies of the 1960s over 1980s and later.
