like it or not, regardless of the reason and the group or person doing the bullying, it has gone on for years and is part of growing up. Most of us have been exposed to it when we were very young and some of us guilty of it as well.

It sounds like you support repressing religious speech and belief on the grounds that some gay kid somewhere might get his feelings hurt?

Life isn't fair. Grow up. Grow a pair. Deal with it. All this Coddle-By-Law nonsense has to stop.
Yup, religion is just a club formed so that you get to chum around with people that hate the same things you hate....That is my impression of religion in any case.

Does that excuse bullying in your mind? Do you think that we should never try to change what was done in the past?

Did I say that? No, I didn't but I do think we need to accept what is part of growing up and stop babying our kids. No wonder they grow up thinking they deserve everything and are entitled to everything?

I wonder what our sentiment would be if the bullying was directed towards black students or handicapped students?

This isn't as issue were kids are whining about being picked on. Kids are killing themselves because they're being tormented by their peers. Get a clue.

Uber-sensitivity is defined by the homosexual male. I've said for years that scientists should study it, because there's clearly a correlation.

Bullying is part of growing up. Yes it is especially for those being bullied.
Is it babying a child to not allow a bully to humiliate them daily?
One might argue that its babying the bully not to hold them accountable.
I am a former special forces vet. I was bullied because of a cleft palate.
Trying to figure out how all that bullying helped me to grow up?
Coming up short on that I'm afraid.
Hmmm I know it helped me with my selfesteem. No not that either.
hmmm Ah yes it helped me to learn to run really fast. Yes in deed.
hmmm Ah it made me really hate certain people. Oh yes it did at that.
What it really did for me is it helped me to want to fight for weaker people who are out numbered and can't defend themselves. It made me unwilling to accept excuses that bullies should be tolerated at any level.
Nita we usually can agree on things but not this one.
