No, I'm saying that insulting big men of any color is a health hazard.

I'm sure the same would happen to an average sized black guy walking up to a giant white guy in a cowboy hat making a similar statement.

The point was, and I know we're trying to get away from it, but the point was that an insult or racial slur is relative to the person hearing it, not so much saying it.

Treat people with respect, and these types of problems usually don't come up.

I think that you get the messege, so don't try to run that "left winger" crap becasue this has nothing to do with politics but more to do with inappropriate wording
People of all races eat rice and live in trailer parks, I guess some people just have racism on their minds 24/7.

Well, the term "ghetto" pretty accurately describes how I feel about Obama's actions and attitudes.

So I see nothing wrong with using that term.

I do treat people with respect when they deserve it and I've never had problems with anyone or with problems coming up... but then again I don't make racist assumptions about people as I've seen a lot of people do in this thread. I mean come on, ghetto = black is a pretty ignorance and racist way to think and just about everyone who voted yet believes that.

As George Carlin once said, words in themelves are not racist, it's the person and the meaning behind it that makes it racist. To equate Obama, a Harvard eduated lawyer and President of the United States with a label that is associated with poverty, violence, drugs, gangs, and lack of education does appear to be extremely ignorant at the least and racist at it's worst.

Depends on the context, and the audience.

That goes for everything in life. It's not about what you say, it's how it's received.

Eating rice is bad? Because I always linked racism to thinking negatively about a certain race.

Let's get down to the whole point of people being easily offended. The term "ghetto goon" being used affected those complaining about it how?

Your are an unbelievable person. You show your views on race all the time yet you always play this enlightened I'm so smart role. I'm really starting to lose Patience with you. Name one just one positive thought about any black person or issue you have ever posted or felt.
