Law enforcement and fire fighters also get my thanks. They also put their lives on the line. Politicians, IRS, and paper pushers don't get any thanks from me.

ESPN tonight will have a college basketball game held on the USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier, same ship that threw bin Laden overboard.

What an ignorant post. First off, the ship is at the pier in their homeport. That means no fuel is being used to carry basketball players out on the ocean. Secondly, the setup for the game is by ESPN and the college basketball organization. Third, the game is paid for by advertising money for the televised game. Guys play basketball onboard aircraft carriers all the time as part of the recreation available.
