Thanks! And I just thought I'd be a tad bit political and controversial by posting that, since this is the Politics and Other Controversies forum. We were mere pups when we got together - in Austin, TX - at ages 20 (he) and 21 (me). In 2003 we married in Canada as soon as the law in Ontario had changed to allow marriage equality. Now looking forward to the new civil unions law in our current State of Delaware going into effect in a few weeks, which will automatically make our marriage in Canada recognised as a civil union in Delaware. The nexus of the political and personal is that I'm personally very happy and pleased by the developments that have made the lives of myself and my partner much easier and more secure.

Two of my closest friends have been a same sex couple going on 35 years now.
They had a "pretend" marriage ceremony with family and friends many, many years ago.......now just waiting for the day they can make it legal.
