5 1/2 hours of arguments, which is unprecedented.

Supreme Court will hear health care case this term - Yahoo!

Ruling would come 4 months before the election.

Quote:
WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court said Monday it will hear arguments next March over President Barack Obama's health care overhaul — a case that could shake the political landscape as voters are deciding if Obama deserves another term.

The justices announced they will hear an extraordinary five-and-a-half hours of arguments from lawyers on the constitutionality of a provision at the heart of the law and three other related questions about the act.

Let's hope Barry H. Teleprompter doesn't get the chance to nominate another justice who requires on the job training before then.

I doubt they'd televise, but I think they will definitely let an audio record go out.

They definately wont, but they should. It will be funny to hear Obama administration argue that its a tax to with the lawsuit, while at the same time say its not a tax so he can keep his pledge

It is definelty needed to have a final say on the legality. We all need to know what the rules are

A ruling prior to the election will be just another brick in the wall for Obama. It appears as though his fate is sealed anyway. When he is out of office in 2013, the next president will work with the congress and senate to repeal Obamacare. It is somewhat of a moot point.

The thing is: if they rule in obama's favor on one of the most unpopular pieces of legislation...ever...I can't see that helping him at all. It will give an even bigger incentive for conservatives and like minded Indies/Dems to get out and vote for the GOP candidate who will repeal the law...or at least starve it to death. If he thinks taking a victory lap, more in your face celebration of a law as unpopular as obamacare would do him any good at the polls, I think he's miscalculating horribly.

I mean, do his supporters think that a favorable ruling for obama by SCOTUS will somehow change their minds about obamacare?

If they rule against obama, what better campaign ad than one in which obama and the dems have been slapped down for forcing an unconstitutional bill down the country's throat?

The way the Republicans are going, with all these debates, even if they strike down Obama Care, they maybe self destructing, by having all these debates.

Lets hope that one of the Candidates can walk after everyone shoots themselves in the foot!!

I wish you well...

Jesse
