Egypt: Islamic supremacist presidential candidate vows to arrest bikini-wearing women if elected - Jihad Watch

Quote:
In an interview on the 90 Minutes television program, Abu Ismail said he supported what he called “Islamic dress” for women, meaning the hijab, or veil. Asked about what would happen to a woman wearing a bikini on the beach, he responded, “she would be arrested.”
In addition, he plans to impose the jizya on non-Muslims.

Quote:
If elected, Abu Ismail has promised to apply Islamic law to other realms of Egyptians life, which would mean closing down casinos, outlawing the drinking alcohol in public, forcing Copts to pay a special tax for not converting, and punishing women who would wear “immodest” clothes.
Let's hope this guy's party doesn't win but it is not looking good:

Quote:
In Egypt, 67% of those polled by the Pew Global Attitudes Project last April said the country’s laws should strictly follow the Quran's teachings. Another 27% said that they should follow the values and principles of Islam....
Change.

I think the interviewer meant burkini. The only beach he could be referring to is in Alexandria were all the Egyptians go during the summer. You would be hard pressed to find one in a bikini. LOL

I doubt they would be going up to the resorts (Sharm El Sheikh, Horgada)where they depend on tourists for revenue.

This is what the protesters feared: the Muslim Brotherhood taking over. If that should happen, their time under Mubarak is going to be looking damn good to them.

Well...that would be common sense, to display their hypocrasy and allow bikinis in order to attract tourist dollars. I don't know that these guys are that bright. They're so brainwashed by their little mythical cult that I suspect they'll kill the goose that lays the golden eggs in order to remain true to their "religion".

Just another plain old win for religious lunacy.

Considering the history of strict Islamic governments I'd be surprised if all they get is arrested and not beaten, raped, and or killed.

Islam is the land of the lost childern. I think that Muslim men believe they own all the women. It is obvious they fear them. I wonder if they will ever grow up.
