Against increased taxes? Unless you are very wealthy, you have been hoodwinked by the GOP. When they meant they wanted to cut taxes, they didn't mean the average American (you and I). They meant for their wealthy constituents.

Republicans proposed cutting the U.S. deficit with a tax overhaul that would raise about $300 billion and by raising the Medicare eligibility age to 67, said aides familiar with a congressional supercommittee’s talks.
Republicans, who until now opposed new tax revenue in any deficit plan, suggested reducing individual tax deductions, exclusions and other breaks and changing the way income tax brackets are indexed to inflation, a Democratic aide said. In exchange, Republicans called for reducing the top marginal tax rate to as low as 28 percent, the aide said. Those changes would net $300 billion in higher revenue, the aide said.

The people, GOP, who put the big Elephant on the backs of the American people, want, along with their minions, to put an even bigger Elephant up there. Amazing!

Not even close and you know it. Liberals want to raise taxes on those who have benefitted the most from living in this country, and that sure as hell is not everyone.

Do you expect anything less form them? They make no bones about who they are in support of... I just don't understand why anyone making less than $200k would remotely think these people are good for anything. We had 8 years of tax payer supported giveaways yet there are fools that think they will benefit from a repug leadership...

Goes to show, a fool and their money are soon parted.

OK, what budget items do you cut that will make any sizable dent in the debt without raising taxes?
