In his testimony to the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee, Steven Chu had the following to say, “The final decisions on Solyndra were mine, and I made them with the best interest of the taxpayer in mind.”
Representative Earthlyfather followed the statement by pointedly saying to Mr Chu, "I have just one question for you after that statement. Is it in the taxpayer's best interest to be placed in second position to the investors, after it became clear that Solyndra would declare bankruptcy?"
Mr Chu's statement is a matter of record. Representative Earthlyfather's question is fictitious to illustrate the robber baron nature of politicians, hiding behind bureacrats to cover their crony capitalism. Chu is clearly the fall guy for this one. The link to the full article is below.
IMHO - The Federal government should have just taken over this company with no compensation to the stockholders or bankers as well as fined the executives their entire fortunes and jailed them as well.
The Pols, of all stripes, have rigged the game. I used to be one to scoff at conspiracy theories, but no longer. I am so frustrated at we the citizens being pulled into their "looks-like-partisan-politics" gamesmanship.
It is you and I who are being gamed, conned and otherwise abused.
Says the person who took instruction from Barack Obama's handlers to take the fall for the President in an election year.
It will still make a great election year ad for the GOP candidate, along with Holder if/when he is instructed to fall on the sword for Operation Fast & Furious.

Yes, the tin foil hats are being proven to have had pretty good reception. We are all being scammed by the globalist elites and Obama is just another puppet.

You must have the US confused with Venezuela and Obama confused with Hugo Chavez. It is understandable.
I wonder what they gave him in return. Less work, more pay, early retirement, and a larger pension perhaps....
Likely a board membership and executive compensation in the next Obama donor's company to get a taxpayer funded bailout weeks before it shuts its doors.
