His personal salary isn't hidden off shore--you're confused between the corporation's taxes and his salary from the company and whatever dividends he might earn. Apples and oranges.

What do you want to bet most of his salary is in options and warrants?

Hey, Mr. Dow CEO - NO ONE IS STOPPING YOU FROM "PAYING MORE TAXES"!!!:ma d:

I'll be glad to show you the US Treasury website where you can walk the talk!
Telling people that they can voluntarily pay more taxes is silly, and you know that. What they're saying is that that really wealthy Americans get the greatest benefit from using the resources of this country, and they're paying proportionately too little to keep the country afloat. We have to make cuts, but we also have to increase revenues if we're going to tackle the debt and maintain any kind of infrastructure. Their businesses benefit from making sure we have the infrastructure and an educational system that attract business to this country--they can't function without it.

If you raise taxes on the middle class and the poor, they have less money in their pockets to spend. The biggest problem we have in this country right now is that consumers aren't spending--that's whats hurting business. Cutting taxes for the wealthy isn't going to increase consumer demand--the wealthy just take the excess and invest it vs. putting it back in the economy. Nobody expands their businesses if demand isn't there--the whole argument about not taxing personal income because they're the "job creators" is a complete crock. Besides--their personal income has nothing to do with the income of the corporations they run. It's silly.

Ahh, he's pumping a book.. Of course
Dow Chemical Co. CEO Andrew Liveris' new book makes case for manufacturing in America | MLive.com

And supports government handouts, exert from the book.
"Around the world, countries are acting more and more like companies: competing aggressively against one another for business and progress and wealth. Governments are boosting business, creating a climate that attracts and rewards investment, spurs innovation and job creation, and appeals to companies that are less bound by national borders than ever before. Build here, they say, and we'll pay for the land you need, Build here, they say, and we'll cover your workers' salaries for a decade. Build here."

Bull ****. The wealthy are paying to support 51% of the nation who pays ZERO income tax..

And raising taxes is NOT how you grow revenues. Cutting them are, which even the left wing hero Clinton understood. You need to GROW the economy, not the tax rates to get more revenues

Now you are contradicting your paragraph above, because I thought the poitn was to be "fair"? Having others pay taxes removes money from EVERYONES pocket, and reduces the amount they have to spend.

The problem we have now is that GOVERNMENT is taking all of the excess cash and GOVERNMENT is limiting spending ability.

Investing money removes money out of the "rich peoples" pocket and puts it into society. Under what circumstance is reducing investing good?

Seems like you are contradicting. You complain that 51% pay no income taxes, yet you go on to say that raising taxes is not an option.

Not at all. I find it hypocritical to see so many complain about the wealthy not paying their fair share while so many pay ZERO. I wonder how many posters here want someone ELSE to pay more?

I support CUTTING SPENDING. The federal government gets far more than enough revenues than it needs.

If you support raising taxes, then the raising of taxes MUST take place on those who pay ZERO, and even the Obama debt commission stated this is true. You can take 100% of all income from the wealthy and it wouldnt put a dent in the debt.

Are there other taxes you would like to point out that the poor contribute to but the rich dont?
