Most of us know the deal. Some news sources in the U.S. swing left, others swing right. There are many international avenues for news as well. But many of them are biased either in favor of or against certain countries or ideologies.
So, will it never be possible to get anything approaching an objective, impartial and yet engaging news source that people will actually watch?
I love how Fair and Balanced says nothing about integrity or truth. They never did address the hundreds of lies and errors they have made over the years (http://mediamatters.org/search/tag/fox_nation?page=1&tab=all&tags=fox_nation - broken link).
Plus instances in which Fox News altered images of people, places, and things to influence viewers (http://mediamatters.org/search/tag/fox_news_channel - broken link).

No.
Even in the day when there were only three networks, and the networks owned themselves (meaning ABC was owned by ABC and ABC owned nothing else) they were biased.
So were the newspapers and magazines. Had you bothered to read Senator Frank Church's senate committee on intelligence hearing papers, then you would know that the CIA had paid people at Life Magazine and other weekly magazines, plus people on payroll at the newspapers and people on payroll at the networks.
The CIA fed them information to spin stories in support of US foreign policy typically.
News cares for one thing like all business operations... money... get the money out would be impossible... writers, journalists, and techs all expect to be paid... nobody works for free... the liberals would like to force you to work for free but that just doesn't happen...
