The number of opponents will only continue to shrink as we progress further on into the future too. The overwhelming majority of the younger generations support same-sex marriage. It's only a matter of time before it becomes legal across the entire nation. It'll be nice to know that all of my fellow countrymen and women will have equal rights in that regard.
Scotty is a conspiracy theorist. He believes every poll and article indicating gay marriage support is now the majority is a giant lie orchestrated by gays and their supporters. He believes most of this country believes like he does and hates gays.

Every year, the American electorate loses several million voters, while also gaining several million voters. Those voters it loses are disproportionately older and opposed to same-sex marriage. The voters gained, conversely, are disproportionately younger voters who do not share the irrational prejudices of earlier generations.

No, Florida just has a lot of old people, and old people and the uneducated are the primary ones who vote against gays.
