Socialism, Communism or Fascism: Which Best Describes Obamanism?*|*Godfather Politics

He's followed basically the same policies of the Bush administration as far as foreign policy and economic policy.

So what was President Bush?

Did Bush try to own the auto industry? How about the Stimulus bill that should have extended the power of the DC bunch? Did Bush try a Surge in Afghanistan? Obama declared that his war when he got coronated.

There are too many other things that Bush didn't even try that Obama promised his voters when he said in 5 days we will begin the fundamental change of the US. What did he mean by that.? Did Bush try to gain control of our health care system so his bureaucracy could tell us how to live and die? I missed out on that part.

Yep, Obama has changed very little as far as foreign affairs are concerned but there have been differences in economic affairs.

Yep, Obama has changed very little as far as foreign affairs are concerned but there have been differences in economic affairs.

"In September, 2008 the Big Three asked for $50 billion to pay for health care expenses and avoid bankruptcy and ensuing layoffs, and Congress worked out a 25$ billion loan.[83] By December, President Bush had agreed to an emergency bailout of $17.4 billion to be distributed by the next administration in January and February.[84] In early 2009, the prospect of avoiding bankruptcy by General Motors and Chrysler continued to wane as new financial information about the scale of the 2008 losses came in. Ultimately, poor management and business practices forced Chrysler and General Motors into bankruptcy. Chrysler filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on May 1, 2009 [85] followed by General Motors a month later.[86]
On June 2, GM Motors announced the sale of the Hummer brand of off-road vehicles to Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machinery Company Ltd., a machinery company in western China, a deal which later fell through"

Uh huh

Socialism, Communism or Fascism: Which Best Describes Obamanism?*|*Godfather Politics
Well, the tin foil dude put these definitions in this article:

Quote:
Socialism – 1. Any of various theories or systems of social organization in which the means of producing and distributing goods is owned collectively or by a centralized government that often plans and controls the economy.
2. The stage in Marxist-Leninist theory intermediate between capitalism and communism, in which collective ownership of the economy under the dictatorship of the proletariat has not yet been successfully achieved.
I wasn't aware that the government "planned and controlled" the economy as a whole.

Quote:

Communism – A system of government in which the state plans and controls the economy and a single, often authoritarian party holds power, claiming to make progress toward a higher social order in which all goods are equally shared by the people.

I also wasn't aware that we had only one party in the United States. Last time I checked we had two major ones and countless smaller ones. But hey, I study politics for a living, so what do I know?

Quote:
Fascism – A system of government marked by centralization of authority under a dictator, stringent socioeconomic controls, suppression of the opposition through terror and censorship, and typically a policy of belligerent nationalism and racism
Quote:
I also didn't know that the U.S. was a dictatorship and that the press was being terrorized into censorship. Gee, I must really be out of the loop on stuff.

So based on those I'd have to say "none of the above". The writer made a poor case for showing that he's a "socio-communistic fascist" (WTH?) because Obama's actually a pretty weak president for many reasons. In fact, I find it hilarious that this man--who until recently was so obsessed with making consensus and reaching out to the other side--is so vilified as Stalin/Mussolini/Hitler in the making when he simply isn't. Do you honestly think the man is truly that machiavellian? That he's a Manchurian Candidate, a man who's waiting for just the right time to turn the U.S. into North Korea in less than a year? That he has that kind of political cunning? Really?? Do you people ever listen to yourselves and realize how rediculous you sound to the rest of the world? Obama is no Mussolini (Fascist) He is no Stalin (Communist) and he's certainly no socialist. He's just a nice centre left politician, who got elected president, and has done a so-so job so far. Nothing more.

I suppose people have screamed COMMUNIST! and FASCIST! so often that these lies and delusions (That you clearly believe) don't even make me angry anymore. It's cartoonish and kind of funny because it's all so unbelivably stupid. Who needs netflix when I have the C-D political forum!

On that note, good night!

I believe the author in the OP's link is flaunting his skill at...

Quote:
hyperbole
1. an obvious and intentional exaggeration.
2. an extravagant statement or figure of speech not intended to be taken literally, as “She’s as big as a house.” Cf. litotes. — hyperbolic, adj.
It's unfortunate behavior nowadays among wannabe journalists (and established journalists) longing to be heard.

Lunatic posts and attitudes like this will assure Obamas re-election.

Obama's a conservative. 20 years ago he'd have been a Republican.
