Protests of Va. parish’s move away from altar girls reflects wider Catholic debate - The Washington Post

This is crazy. I have no idea, why in 2011 that anybody especially women would still associate with the catholic cult.

Isn't this a political forum not a religious one? Anyways, the RCC is not a cult, a church, a private entity has the right to set its own policies, and to understand why the RCC does this you need to have a brain and use it by researching Catholic dogma, history and Tradition.

Every religion has its crazies.

I am Catholic, raised but haven't really been to church lately. I met a lot of wonderful Catholics, as well as some nasty ones. I also went to the Mormon Church for about a year but decided it was not my cup of tea. Went to Protestant...I did more singing than actual praying LOL had a blast... Went to Southern Baptist (I was married to a Preacher) and some of them were kind of I dunno, out there. I used to go to church in pants and apparently at that particular church was a no no. I was seen as nothing more than a Preacher's wife and it bothered me to no end. Some churches still believe women are inferior. F that.

You will find crazy people in all walks of life. Religion is not an exception.

I suppose I'm not surprised that Catholic churches want all boys.

They've been around over 2000 years and don't really care what you nitwits think. If you don't like it, join the Episcopalians.

So, what? You want government legislation for the C.C. to have affirmative action for women?
