While all the blowhards came out a few months ago claiming "Victory" the President was clearly playing chess while all these clowns were playing checkers.

The triggers have been set up to make cuts, something the GOP claimed they desperately wanted , upon the failure of this "super committee." Anybody with half a brain would realize that the party of zero compromise would hamstring this operation from the get go; and that's exactly what happened.

How Bohner and friends could naively think they came out ahead prior only shows how short sighted and frankly stupid they are. They seem acutely unaware of how immobilizing their behavior is, constantly repeating the same thing expecting a different result.

Now what's going to be funny is watching the GOP fight to go back on their original agreement with the triggers, actually fighting NOT to make cuts. They sure are a group of CLOWNS.

Where is Obama? Probably somewhere laughing his arse off right now. He used the GOP block headed stubbornness against them and got pretty much everything he wanted. All while cutting the deficit.

Threads like this are made for people just like YOU SLCPUNK.. Yep.. Yep.. thanks for taking the bait..

I love how you guys all came out rushing in defense of record deficits by saying "The Debt Commission" will fix it, and then support the inaction which come from it. Then you came out rushing and defending the supercommittee, now you are applauding inaction.

If the GOP are full of clowns, whats that make the leader who couldnt get ONE MEMBER OF CONGRESS to vote for his budget?

Do you even understand that the President helped to create this Committee, and now that it failed, it reflects upon his leadership ability?

I'm laughing so hard at you left wingers applauding failure, over, and over.

it is pretty obvious that the leader is missing leadership skills.

the only thing he has managed to get passed is a mandatory health insurance bill, even for americans who do not want to purchase insurance.

luckily his incompetence will keep him from being able to pass a national cap and trade bill, so that is good news for all americans.

.....although california leaders have managed to foist a cap and trade bill on their still unsuspecting citizens. it is a shame because california has been a beautiful state that is forcing productive citizens to leave it- just to get a break from intrusion into their lives and the rising cost of living there. the middle class in california is being squeezed and less revenue is coming in:

California revenues miss mark in September

California missed the mark again in September by collecting $301.6 million less in revenue than state leaders expected when they approved this year's budget, according to Controller John Chiang.

The $301.6 million is 4 percent below what had been expected for September. It represents nearly all of the $310 million that state leaders counted on for the month when they closed the budget with an expectation the state would receive $4 billion more over the course of 2011-12.

That $4 billion bump has attracted plenty of skepticism. Gov. Jerry Brown and Democratic lawmakers have defended the optimistic assumption by pointing to as much as $2.5 billion in cuts to schools and social services they prescribed in case the money never materializes.

For the first three months of the fiscal year, from July to September, California is now $705.5 million, or 3.6 percent, behind what state leaders expected by this point.

those cuts will hurt the middle class, while their energy costs skyrocket.

guess who they will be left with in the end?

the takers, and good luck with that.

Obama is not to blame for their failure to do their job, THAT is your OPINION. He is not giving them an out this time, clue to the GOP: the Tax Cuts are going to go away, they can chose between all tax cuts going away or those for the rich, but either way that is going to happen. If no deal comes about, everyone hurts, the unemployed, those on social programs such as Medicare and SS, and on and on, if you do not think the American People will know it is due to the actions in large part of the GOP you are all delusional and will get your wake-up call in 2012 when the GOP becomes irrelevant in American politics.

What Boeing needs Obama to sell their fine products then tell them where to build their plants? I always knew Obama had a used car salesman mentality.

Dimocrats are protecting their ponzi entitlement interests and want to raise taxes so they can grow more inept government.

We don't need a Budget Amendment but a cap on government employment cut inept agencies and entitlement reform.
