The old jokes today are the republican candidates and the powers that be who think they can stop OWS with applied violence. None of them have a clue.
You do realize it was leaders from each of those cities who called in the police to disburse and clear the camps. Even liberal Los Angeles city council is regretting supporting them.
Nobody is doing themselves any favors by helping out these "protesters", who aren't actually protesters at all but bandwagon jumpers who just want an excuse to live in an encampment and demand that the city take care of them under the guise of "free speech" and "right to assemble" and whatever else can be conjured up.
