I've hardly heard of any Democrats supporting OWS over the last few weeks. They did listen - not to right-wingers, but to their own judgment and wisdom.
Elizabeth Warren says she ‘created intellectual foundation’ for Occupy Wall Street movement - Political Intelligence - A national political and campaign blog from The Boston Globe - Boston.com (http://www.boston.com/Boston/politicalintelligence/2011/10/elizabeth-warren-says-she-created-intellectual-foundation-for-occupy-wall-street-movement/eXimmRDbpeHoNBkKRmOsBL/index.html - broken link)
"In a new interview, Democratic Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren claims much of the credit for the Occupy Wall Street protests sweeping the nation.
“I created much of the intellectual foundation for what they do,” the Harvard Law School professor and former Obama administration consumer advocate told Samuel P. Jacobs of The Daily Beast. “I support what they do.”

Well, this was just great, wasn't it? This was BEFORE all the violence and mayhem started and we can only hope this ardent supporter, the "intellectual foundation" for OWS is crushed in 2012 by Brown.
I believe she refused to sign a pledge of support for the movement last week - no surprise there.
I'm sure she'd LOVE to take those words of support back now.
The Dems are still supporting them just under the table and behind closed doors.
Their trip to Egypt was initiated by someone in the State Dept flying over to Egypt and then presenting the proposal at the OWS General Assembly. The collective vote was 21-17 against going. The 17 decided they were going anyway. Big uproar over on their forums about this.
And once the initiator was linked to the State Dept all subsequent posts call for cancellation of the trip.
Has OWS been co-opted by the very government they are protesting against ?
That would be a hoot, wouldn't it ? I thought they were just a tad bit too organized for a grassroots movement only 2 months old.

"A Thursday Boston Herald report says that Warren declined to place her John Hancock on a petition supporting Occupy Harvard. The Harvard Law professor declined to comment to the newspaper, but her campaign spokesman Kyle Sullivan said she "understands" the movement's mission.
"Elizabeth hasn't signed the petition, but she's been standing up to Wall Street and the big banks for years and that's what she'll do in the Senate," Sullivan said in a statement to the Herald. "People are frustrated and protesting for change. Elizabeth understands that."
"Warren's decision not to sign the Occupy Harvard petition comes at a time when favor for the protests seems to be fading. A new Public Policy Polling survey finds that only 33 percent of Americans are supportive of the movement's goals, while 45 percent oppose the initiatives."

"Intellectual foundation" for the publicly defecating, fornication, raping, cussing and overdosing Occupiers? Wow! Says a lot about the president's ability to choose competent people, doesn't it?

Who in the heck is running this country?
Gosh, thank god she wasn't allowed to head that "new" consumer department. Who knew she was such a radical, socialist ideologue?

and in the same sentence, no less
