With the current GOP field (with the exception of Ron Paul) I would seriously consider voting Democrat if it was someone qualified, but I absolutely will not vote for Obama. Do you think/wish the Democrats would run someone else in 2012? If so, who?

No. Obama is fine where he's at. And it's one month until Iowa. Had there been a Democratic challenger to Obama, one would have emerged months ago during the summer.

And also note: all the people who will vote "Run Another Democrat" in this poll are not Democrats at all, but Republicans and teabaggers who are frustrated that their own GOP choices are nothing but clowns, loons, and lying flip-floppers.

I'm the only one who voted yes so far, and I'm an independent, and I'll leave the teabagging to you.

Independent, huh? So who did you vote for in 2000, 2004, and 2008?

Let's see how "independent" you really are....

Biggest problem is , anyone who is truely qualified for the position is worth millions in the private sector.

We have people who spend millions to get a job that pays what is it $440,000? Then we scratch our heads and wonder why we end up with one idiot after another.

Not necessarily so. Even if GOP choices were limited to clowns, loons, and lying flip-flopper, wouldn't they want to run against the worst the democrats have to offer?

Simple, when you vote for a candidate, you're voting for the party of "experts" that is going to tell that candidate what to do. Pick any Republican candidate you like except Ron Paul -- they are going to prepetuate neo-con foreign policies of the kind Bush favored. How do I know this? Well, all of the Republican candidates are looking to Bush's advisors for some "fresh" ideas about what to do on the world stage.

Looking at Obama, it turns out that even if you vote for the opposition, you're going to get more or less the same program. That said, you're either leaning Democrat or your not. Which mythical Democrat do you think is going to run a different program than Obama?
