Sadly, no surprise there...I wonder how much eric cantor cost (prolly bargain basement, lol W. Virginia)

I read the article.
He says nothing new or interesting.

The bottom line is...
A lobbyist can try as hard as he wants.
If the politician thinks that accomodating that lobby is unpopular & will create a backlash to his voters,he will not satisfy the will of the lobby...
Therefore,the lobbies cannot harm democracy.
No matter how much they racketeer behind close doors,it's the people's will which matters first & foremost...

yeah because people would rather stay in office than be rich.

How the hell does the voter know who is being purchased. It is safe to assume that they all are.

No event can be keot secret.
We know who they meet,what lobbies "flirt "them...

Conspiracy theories are a brainf*rt.

There was a time when any corporate PR guy could get an AE card issued in the name of a congressman's wife. The bill came to the corporation and got paid. Who knew? Are they still doing that? The Lobbyist I was familiar with gave every congressman in their area 2 grand a month.

They do not even have to hide these days. Just hire their wife or kid.
