My friends and I debate this from time to time. Both were periods of prosperity and decadence. Which would you rather live in?

I'd go with the 50s. I'll explain later.

Even as a Mets fan I'd probably pick the 20s to watch Ruth and Gehrig play.

If i was white, the 50's. But as it stands, neither. Both would be pretty miserable.

Would be nice in a dream only. Would never want to go back. Only push forward. No matter the times, there were good and always will be the bad.

Maybe in a time capsule and then come back.

Reminds me of this Louis CK routine where he says that only white people could go anywhere they want in a time machine and it would be awesome.

Yea, time machines aren't an option for black people like myself. Might malfunction and end up in the wrong year.
