Folks can't whine about all the warnings Bush had (supposedly) and did nothing about, when Clinton had the same...and the problem with Clinton IGNORING Bin Laden is Clinton and his admin's LACK of foresight. How many years was Clinton in office and how many terrorists attacks happened under his watch? Just little ones, nothing that was going to lead up to a big one? You know, b/c 9/11 was planned from the day Bush was inaugurated. Those terrorists worked pretty damn fast to organize all they did.

Ramzi Yousef - nephew of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed - was responsible for that attack.
Al Qaeda, of which bin Laden was CEO, are behind almost every significant terrorist attack against U.S. interests for the last couple of decades.
I may be out of the loop, but it was my impression that while there may have been some funds moved, Ramzi and KSM weren't taking orders from ObL in 1993. (ObL was busy p.ssing off the Sauds at the time.)

More rightly, the seeds of 9/11 were planted by Ronald Reagan. It was under his tutelage that we trained and armed the Mujahideen during the Soviet Afghanistan War. Then we learned that they hated us as much as they hated the Russians.

Yeah, well - it seemed like a good idea at the time - proxy wars were SOP during the cold war. The opportunity was somewhat lost in the aftermath, but the idea itself had merit. Fairly good ROI in military terms. Not all opportunities work out. I've little use for Reagan overall, but that bit worked out pretty well.
However, he completely mishandled the aftermath of the suicide bombing of the Marine barracks in Beirut. Withdrawal within months of the attack?

It worked out well in the short run; in the long run, not so much. We are dealing with that now. The law of unintended consequences and all that.
The history rewrite attempts continue..Sorry but we have the google machine now. We know Dubya was at the ranch snoozing when he ignored the impending attack. We know he drooled for 7 minutes after being told the attack had taken place and we know he attacked the wrong country in retaliation.
Complete fabrication. The CIA never had UBL in their sites nor had any assets or a "team" in place to get him at any time according to the 9/11 report, and multiple other sources that testified before the commission.
