Burlesque'oni was pushed out at record speed.

Appears Mario Monti has some pretty powerful associates that like to meet and plan the World as they want it.

There was no coup in Italy. FFS, the country has changed governments over 60 times since WWII.

What does that have to do with Mario Monti taking over as leader, in what was called a coup?
We've had dozens of Presidents. Yet only one 1/2 black one.

But critics are outraged. “The rise of bankers and unelected technocrats to power in Greece and Italy shows how the unfolding crisis of the euro-zone is undercutting democracy,” complained Costas Panayotakis, a professor of sociology at the New York City College of Technology at CUNY.

I don't care what it was called. A PM retires, a new government is formed, there's a vote of confidence in Parliament - that's how it works. I'm sure some of Berlusconi's cronies (heh) are unhappy that the happy days are over, but they should either point to where the rules were broken or shut up about it being a coup.

Which has what to do with events in Italy?

Somebidy needs to tell Costas Wasshisname that members of government aren't elected in parliamentary systems. Seriously, this is business as usual.
