Senators Demand the Military Lock Up American Citizens in a

S. 1867, the National Defense Authorization Act bill will be on the Senate floor on Monday.

Quote:
"In support of this harmful bill, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) explained that the bill will “basically say in law for the first time that the homeland is part of the battlefield” and people can be imprisoned without charge or trial “American citizen or not.” Another supporter, Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.) also declared that the bill is needed because “America is part of the battlefield.”"
Urge your senator to to oppose indefinite military detention.

Contact everyone you know. Then everyone THEY know. Bombard ALL media outlets, from FAUX News, who will love any chance to blast the President as they spin this even though a Republican co-sponsored and helped to pass the bill. Everyone should be bombarding all media and their Senators IMMEDIATELY. E-mail, phone, and letters. Every letter counts as 10 phone calls in D.C. power broker "metrics".

Scary bill...kinda militarizes the National Guard and puts some officers in Dept of Defense command positions.

Also found an amendment submitted by Feinstein limiting the authority of the Armed Forces to detail citizens.

Here's the amendment..there's over 200 of them, mostly Senators asking for money to construct something...geeze the spending never stops does it ?

Bill Summary & Status - 112th Congress (2011 - 2012) - S.AMDT.1126 - THOMAS (Library of Congress)

which I found from here (list of all amendments)
S. 1867 - Amendments: National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012 (GovTrack.us)

which I got from here..original bill
S. 1867: National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012 (GovTrack.us)

There's the trail so you can read for yourself.

I think they are worried that the protests will increase and will turn into what's happening in Greece, Italy, Portugal and Spain and they want to have laws in place to deal with it.

Our MSM doesn't report so much on the violence going on over there so get on those foreign sites guys and read up.

Unreal. This better get shot down, with haste. I remember growing up and learning to be proud of our country in school. Now, I couldn't be more disgusted with it, particularly with the sewer dwellers we call 'politicians.' They are summarily flushing this counrty down the tubes, yet people keep voting the same garbage back in. <puke>

"It has been said that politics is the second oldest profession. I have learned that it bears a striking resemblance to the first."
