But your judging all Christians by the actions of the holier than thou loudmouths you see on this forum and in the media. They're not all like that, and most respect your decision to believe whatever you want, and just want others to do the same. That's just as bad as judging an entire race based on the actions of a few idiots. Wrong is wrong.
No. I'm judging the loudmouth hypocrite judgemental "christians" I see on this forum and in other places.
I was answering another poster who blubbered, """""Why do so many liberals always have to take pot shots at those with any faith in a higher power?""""

I understand that. If the extremists are going to run their mouths about what people should believe, I can see your need to defend and fire back. But for those of us who have our beliefs but respect the beliefs of others, we still see the attacks and insinuation of being naive against those who believe in a higher power, and while not directed at us personally, it's still hard not to take offense.
If there were no God, atheists would have no reason for being. Or, to put it another way, the existence of atheists proves there IS a God.
Try again.
I think it is a controversial and political issue.
How would you separate Washington's numerous mentions of God in his proclamation from the political arena?
Take all references of God out, and Washington would need a teleprompter to deliver the proclamation as it becomes nonsensical.
If it wasn't for god the christians would have less reason to consider themselves as superior and hate and throw dirt on others.
Existence of humans does not prove that there is a god. That's a bizarre assumption in christian fairy tales.

"..hard not to take offense"...
Then don't. YOU control that....no one else.
I don't take it personally when atheists are attacked.
I don't care.
I will answer back to ridiculous assumptions about people who do or don't believe in a 'god" or "gods"
A whole bunch of you have compared a prez thanking god to an Iranian theocracy. A coocoo comparison on many levels. Well, Obama Did thank god in the proclamation. I don't care one way or another. What's kind of amusing is that he's being praised by anti-theists and knocked by others for not thanking 'sky-daddy', when in fact, he did 'give thanks to God for the many kindnesses and comforts that grace our lives.'

I don't think you use this logic against posts that are designed to offend people of other faith (Muslims mostly), or atheists. Do you?
