I don't see how it is biased. It seems that Dems and Reps get snared the same.
It just seems to me that the OP is complaining that the media does what they're being paid to do and then, the complaint has no merit.

The digging is being done on an unequal basis.
Remember any media inquiries to dig for Obama dirt - because there is plenty... - I don't recall such efforts.
Anytime Dem dirt is exposed is because it would have bubbled to the surface anyway. It is stuff they know exists already - but choose not to report about it until they are forced to.
Look at the Syracuse coach - ESPN had tapes of the wife talking about the coach's problems, but they held it. The media holds stuff all of the time.
I am sure they are holding goods on Romney - but will not release the data until the proper time. It's all a game for them.
