We don't put up a holiday tree we put up a Christmas tree and have been for years.. since when do the other holidays say holiday instead of what it is, such as Columbus day as discovery holiday or St. Patricks Day as wear green holiday. It is ridiculous.. It is Christmas folks... and always has been.
Because the War on Rosh ha Shannah has been very successful.
Chanukah is probably one of the best known Jewish holidays, not because of any great religious significance, but because of its proximity to Christmas. Many non-Jews (and even many assimilated Jews) think of this holiday as the Jewish Christmas, adopting many of the Christmas customs, such as elaborate gift-giving and decoration. It is bitterly ironic that this holiday, which has its roots in a revolution against assimilation and the suppression of Jewish religion, has become the most assimilated, secular holiday on the Jewish calendar. -- Judaism 101: Chanukkah

I always use "Happy Holidays", and it's simply my little "gift" to the "fundagelicals" (great word, BTW!), who'd like nothing better for "Xmas" anyway than the chance to always play "victim"!

So "ho-ho-ho, and Seasons Greetings, y'all!!"
Do you also say "Happy Holidays" and "Seasons Greetings" during the September/October holidays?

Sorry, am not in the habit of sending out Rosh Hashanah cards. And besides, I don't know any Jewish friends who seek out every opportunity to play "victim". Although perhaps there are some whose experience may vary...

So, you only wish "Happy Holidays" and give "Seasonal Greetings" for the Christian holidays?
