Probably the United States is the most conservative in the Western World. One of the Scandinavian countries is probably the most liberal.

The United States is by far the most right wing government in the developed (first world). I would say of ALL the world, the government of Saudi Arabia is the most conservative. In the developed world, Australia would be the 2nd most conservative followed by England, New Zealand and Canada. The scadanavian nations of Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands would be the most liberal.

Saudi Arabia is socially conservative but it is by no means economically conservative i.e. free market because the government is in firm control of the economy. I'm not sure which one the OP meant. Your definitions of conservative, however, seem to switch from social to economic because I'm not sure how else England could appear 3rd on the list. What measure are you using?

And OP why are you limiting answers to the west?

I am just using my own judgement as to the country and its allowance of individual freedoms and regulation of the economy. The USA is actually better than the UK or Canada on individual freedoms because we have things like free speech and the government usually cannot tell the press what it can and cannot report (publication bans are common in the UK and somewhat so in Canada too). But those nations lean more liberal because they have national health systems and pretty liberal welfare states.

America is the most conservative. Generally, the US population leans to the right, some to the extreme. In America right wing extremism is acceptable and, by some, desirable as the direction for government.

Most of us agree the US is the most rabidly right-wing country in the west and getting more and more so by the minute. In this country, the left doesn't even have any political representation. The democrat and republican parties are both right-wing parties who serve the interests of the 1%.

You know who else used to be the most right-wing country in the west? ....Germany before World War 2. But now the US has earned that title. Hey at least we're number one in something! I consider myself an independent because the two parties don't represent anything beyond their own greed and self-interests.
